Toys
This page looks at some of the toys that have stimulated
our little Zoe's mind and given her many hours of fun. I have also expanded
the site to show some of the best resources available on the internet
for toys, learning aids and sensory based products.

Flashing lights and music
OK, so you have to be there to appreciate this one, many autistic
kids love flashing lights and music. We found that at discos etc,
Zoe loved to dance by the lights, and in the pattern of light that
was thrown down by the projectors. So, we bought a projector and
it gets plenty of use. There are a number of products available and it is difficult to get the right one.
We have found that some supplies of special needs sensory equipment are being overly optimistic in terms
of prices. I can suggest Maplins in the uk, for a balanced
value for money approach. if you want to look at Maplins, follow the link, and click on Sound and Vision on
the left, then Party Lighting.

Zoe's favourite toy is her Alfie Bear. This rather likeable little chap is both a soft toy and intuitive learning tool. Zoe has developed the knack of never getting a question wrong. Two years on, and now on our second Alfie bear
